About The Position

Join the mission of Improving Lives as a Mental Health Technician at Jefferson Health. This role is for a PRN (as needed) Mental Health Tech. Mental Health Technicians will maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse in an inpatient setting, and provide care for all patients effectively and compassionately. Requirements

  • For Philadelphia County Jefferson campuses - Completion of a supervised mental health or addiction practicum and completion of 12 college credits in the social sciences + 2 years of experience in mental health or addictions care required
  • BLS certified required
  • Behavioral management training in accordance with campus policy

Nice To Haves

  • One-year experience with behavioral health clients preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists the RN in delivering care, observing patient behaviors, and more
  • Reports/documents any changes in patients mood or behavior in a timely fashion
  • Provides one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed
  • Maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse in an inpatient setting
  • Provide care for all patients effectively and compassionately
