About The Position

This role is within a 24 Hour Mental Health Crisis Unit. The Mental Health Tech is responsible for monitoring individuals experiencing mental health crises. This includes spending individual time with consumers, assisting with and/or providing selected group activities, and promoting a positive, reinforcing environment for children and/or adults served in the program.

Requirements

• Minimum - high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) training and perform NAPPI techniques
• Ability to bend, lift a minimum of 50lbs., stretch, lower and raise self from floor independently
• Ability to hear and see in emergency situations

Nice To Haves

• College coursework in psychology or sociology
• Experience in mental health or related setting
