About The Position
The Mental Health Tech functions as a member of the health care team. The MHT assists the registered nurse in meeting the goal(s) of individualized patient care by performing designated patient care and unit activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Successful completion of Nurse Aide training program required.
- Certified Nurse Aide certification through the Kentucky Board of Nursing required.
- BLS required.
- Avade workplace violence prevention training (Level III) required after hire or transfer, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually.
- 1 year of experience in a recent hospital setting or skilled setting required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient psychiatric care preferred.
