About The Position

Join Cumberland Hall Hospital as a Mental Health Technician Supervisor and take the lead in creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where both patients and staff can succeed. In this role, you will supervise and support Mental Health Technicians, ensure consistency in patient care, monitor daily operations, and guide your team in implementing effective behavioral interventions. You will serve as a role model for professionalism, lead by example in crisis management and de-escalation, and collaborate with nursing leadership to maintain a high standard of care while fostering a team-oriented, trauma-informed culture focused on safety, accountability, and positive patient outcomes. Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active-duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 1500 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cumberland Hall Hospital.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one year of experience working in a behavioral health or similar setting required, including at least six months of prior experience in a Mental Health Technician role.

Nice To Haves

Associates or Bachelors Degree in a human service related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support Mental Health Technicians to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care
Monitor daily unit operations, including rounds, staff assignments, and documentation
Lead crisis response and coach staff on de-escalation and behavioral management techniques
Oversee completion of safety procedures such as room searches and security checks
Provide leadership through coaching, feedback, and role modeling professionalism
