Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
CPR Certification.
One year prior psychiatric experience preferred.
Knowledge of human behavior preferred including therapeutic relationships & processes, age specific growth & development, limit setting, crisis & behavior management.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
Ensure the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu.
Perform crisis intervention.
Assist patients with activities of daily living.
Demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including male adults as well as dually diagnosed adults.
