About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Mental Health Technician (MHT) and Driver to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients hospitalized for psychiatric and emotional disorders, while also providing safe transportation to and from the facility. The MHT will support the hospital’s philosophy of care by fostering a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients, maintaining ongoing communication with nursing staff, and actively contributing to the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required.
• CPR (American Heart or American Red Cross) certification.
• Handle with Care and Abuse and Neglect training required (employer provided).
• Active driver's license.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting, phone triage, tele-health or case management or combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a free-standing psychiatric hospital preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritize with strong time management skills.
• Must successfully pass background check, MVR, drug screen, physical and be able to provide positive employment references.
