About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating care for a group of patients to achieve clinical outcomes. Key duties include managing patient admissions and discharges, providing one-to-one assistance, supervising the therapeutic milieu, and running behavioral health groups. The position requires strong de-escalation skills and the ability to execute directives from the charge nurse.

Requirements

CPR certification Required.
CPI Required.

Responsibilities

Coordinating care for a group of patients for a designated period to achieve clinical outcomes.
Managing hand-off communication with incoming and outgoing shifts and conducting rounds to familiarize self with patients on the unit.
Managing the admission process up to the nursing assessment including contraband checks and new patient orientation and the discharge process specific to accurate return of belongings.
Routinely providing one to one assistance to assigned patients.
Supervising the therapeutic milieu including de-escalation techniques.
Participating in department/unit performance improvement activities.
Providing assistance with the basic activities of living as required, and instructing on all aspects of self-care.
Executing directives provided by the charge nurse.
Milieu management.
Running Behavioral Health groups.
Verbal de-escalation.
