We're hiring Mental Health Support Specialists to work with adult clients in and around Belfast, Maine, earning up to $27/hour.

Requirements

1+ year of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation, active insurance, and current vehicle registration.
Ability to pass a background check.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic comfort with smartphone apps and email, and ability to complete electronic documentation (e.g., daily session notes) — training provided.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support and supervision to adults living with severe and persistent mental illness, helping them work toward greater independence.
Support takes place in clients' homes and in the surrounding community, following each client's individualized, person-centered plan.
Helping clients complete steps toward securing stable housing.
Assisting clients in scheduling appointments and providing safe, reliable transportation.
Teaching coping strategies for anxiety and other mental health challenges.
Supporting daily living skills, like budgeting or managing a checkbook.
Providing encouragement as clients work toward their goals.
