About The Position

This full-time Mental Health Support Specialist position is part of their STRONG program (Successfully Treating and Reaching Our Next Generation), which values each child and strives to provide them with a brighter future. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, and preferably in a field related to mental health
  • Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents with severe emotional/behavioral disorders (minimum of 1 year required)
  • Strong desire for youth mental health advocacy
  • Willingness to support and uphold the mission of Christian Family Solutions in the clinical setting required
  • Team player with effective written and verbal communication skills to lead groups and work alongside the STRONG treatment team
  • Competency in cross- or multi-cultural settings required
  • CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) certified after hire

  • Active member of a WELS or ELS or confessional Lutheran church preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate psycho-educational skills groups for children and adolescents admitted into the program
  • Provide general client care
  • Provide de-escalation services
  • Support the clinical services team
