About The Position

The Mobile Crisis Supervisor leads the charge, where every day presents a new opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. In this vital supervisory role, you will oversee the operations of our Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Teams (MRRCT), ensuring smooth and effective delivery of immediate support and interventions. Your expertise will guide a team of dedicated professionals as they navigate complex crisis situations, offering assessment, support, and direct interventions under your supervision. This role is pivotal in coordinating crisis response efforts in partnership with emergency responders, developing and refining intervention strategies, and maintaining high standards of care. This person will provide direct supervision, mentorship, and professional development to the team, enhancing their ability to perform under pressure and deliver care with empathy and precision. Collaboration with community partners will be essential to enrich service delivery and improve outcomes, making this role critical in fostering strong community ties and enhancing the overall effectiveness of our crisis interventions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field (MSW, MS, MA), with a strong emphasis on working with families and community organizations.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a clinician 3 or 4 and demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and treatment, along with supervision experience.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Skill and experience in working with a wide range of behavioral health disorders
  • Presenting problems and communicating effectively with collateral organizations having contact with the individual and/or the family
  • Early intervention and prevention as well as evidence-based effective treatment.
  • Ability to work well independently is necessary.
  • Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation required.
  • Must be able to obtain a WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within the first 60 days of hire.
  • Must have a Washington State driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

  • Knowledge of community mental health systems and resources within King County is highly desirable.
  • Experience with ethnic/cultural diversity is preferred.
  • Washington State licensure as LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision of the program, under the direction of the Program Manager.
  • Provides clinical supervision to team members and interns.
  • Provides direct comprehensive services to organization clients and contracted organizations.
  • Assists clients and team members in addressing and stabilizing situations involving behavioral health disorders, through the provision of a full range of clinical services.
  • Serves as a resource for, and provides leadership to, other team members.
  • Assists in the hiring process, trains and supervises clinical team members and interns in the program, under the direction of the Program Manager.
  • Prioritizes and assigns new clients to team members under his/her supervision.
  • Reviews, monitors, and ensures compliance that all required clinical documentation is completed in a thorough and timely manner and per organization standards.
  • Conducts team member performance evaluations in conjunction with the Program Manager, and as per organization standards and timelines.
  • Provides clinical and administrative coverage for the program in the absence of the Program Manager.
  • Provides clinical services to clients, which include but are not limited to: Mental Assessments and evaluations per required level of care, Lethality and risk assessments, Coordinating care with all facets of SOUND, Teaching problem-solving, goal-setting, social skills, communication skills, and money management; and accessing community resources, Providing counseling, individual treatment services and coordination with family, when indicated, Providing crisis intervention services as necessary, Assisting clients to remain stable in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services, Inquiring about medication regimens and treatment compliance.
  • Manages the utilization compliance of services and the success of outcome measures.
  • Advocates for clients, coordinating and referring for services with other community agencies.
  • Maintains working relationships with community and government agencies, other professionals, family members of clients and significant others.
  • Handles client grievances and implements the client grievance procedure on behalf of the client.
  • Provides consultation/education services to other organizations as appropriate.
  • Maintains ethical and competent client and professional relationships in the delivery of service.
  • Relates to others in a professional manner, respectful of individual and cultural differences.
  • Assists with monitoring program revenues and expenses and ensures compliance with funding requirements such as authorizations, timelines, medical necessity and billing.
  • Attends and participates in management meetings, work groups, organization program audits and accreditation activities as a member of SOUND management team.
  • Complies with all applicable federal, state and county laws and regulations, SOUND policies and procedures and all safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned by the program manager.
  • Understands recovery concepts in behavioral health.
  • Successfully applies recovery concepts, as appropriate.
  • Synthesizes and demonstrates recovery concepts.
  • Provides direct clinical supervision to team members in the program.
  • Conducts supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Participates in the interviewing, hiring, and training process of new employees.
  • Actively plans, assigns, and directs work responsibilities of the team member.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and attends to rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Engages in addressing complaints and resolving problems.
