Responsible for delivering paraprofessional mental health care under direct supervision. This role involves facilitating therapeutic group processes, applying effective communication techniques, and assisting clients in structuring their lives therapeutically. The specialist will work as an active member of the mental health team, providing community-based care while considering safety, patients' rights, and comfort. Interventions will be guided by the master treatment plan, with a focus on supporting appropriate behavior and setting limits on inappropriate behavior. The role also includes identifying potential aggressive behavior, applying de-escalation techniques, documenting client responses, and assisting family members. Basic medical tasks and assistance with daily living activities may be required. The position may also involve transporting clients and organizing recreational activities. A key responsibility is answering phones and responding to calls, including Helpline calls, professionally.
