About The Position

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Mental Health Specialist / MHS in the morning ATTEND program with our partnership with the Chester County Intermediate Unit! The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) is an independent contract position working early morning hours during the school week between 6am-8am. This role involves morning MHS in-home needs throughout Chester County, PA. It's a great opportunity for recent retirees, or those looking for supplemental income. The pay for independent contract work is $75.00/hr.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited university in a mental health / human service study such as Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Education, etc.
Documented training and experience in positive behavior supports, team coordination, agency collaboration, applied and cognitive behavioral counseling
PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance (current within 12 months)
PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance (current within 12 months)
PA Department of Education FBI -- Use code 1KG6XN (current within 12 months)
TB Screening (current within 3 months)
Education Documentation - diploma OR official transcripts from graduate program
Professional Liability Insurance

Additional 6 months work experience providing clinical therapy in an individual, family, or group format

Responsibilities

Monday - Friday, 1 hour/day during the school week to provide services in the home setting before school hours to help an individual transition from home to school day
1 hour each day typically falls between 6am - 8am time frame
Services will be provided for an extended period of weeks or months
Work with school aged students with emotional or behavioral needs
Transportation from the client's home to school may be required
No services are provided if there is no school
Transfer coping skills and interventions to parent/caregiver
