Dungarvin is hiring Mental Health Specialist 2 (MHS2) professionals for direct care roles in communities across Minnesota. These positions are for individuals with experience in mental health support and behavior management. Dungarvin is a mission-driven team, established in 1976, dedicated to providing person-centered supports to help individuals live as independently as possible. The role involves working directly with people needing assistance, or living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs. The company operates in 15 states, focusing on making a difference one person at a time. The Acute Behavioral Services (ABS) group homes support individuals with complex mental health and behavioral needs, many of whom have experienced frequent crises, hospital stays, or legal involvement and require a highly structured environment. Homes are designed for safety, and the approach is consistent, person-centered, and goal-oriented. Staff receive training in behavioral support and crisis response, including manual restraints when necessary. The role may involve exposure to verbal aggression or difficult behaviors, with strong training and team support provided. As an MHS II, the role is hands-on, helping people lead more independent, stable lives.
