Asleep DSP / Mental Health Specialist II
About The Position
This is an asleep overnight position that offers the opportunity to gain experience in the field, work while resting, and pick up additional hours around your schedule. Asleep hours are paid at minimum wage ($11.41/hr), while awake hours are paid at a rate of $18.50-$24/hourly. Dungarvin is a mission-driven team dedicated to providing person-centered supports to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or complex medical needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible. With services in 15 states, the team is united by a commitment to making a difference.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Passion for Helping Others
- Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation.
- Good communication is key in this role. You’ll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members
Responsibilities
- Provide Hands-On Care: Assist individuals with daily activities like personal care, meal prep, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry duties, all while fostering independence.
- Create a Safe & Welcoming Environment: Maintain a clean, safe space that ensures comfort and support while helping individuals reach their personal goals.
- Mentor & Guide: Provide supervision, positive reinforcement, and guidance to help individuals achieve their aspirations.
