About The Position

Dungarvin is hiring a Mental Health Specialist II for its Acute Behavioral Services (ABS) group homes, which support individuals with complex mental health and behavioral needs. Many residents have experienced frequent crises, hospital stays, legal involvement, or failed placements and benefit from a highly structured environment. The homes are designed with safety in mind, and services are consistent, person-centered, and focused on helping individuals work toward their goals while maintaining safety. Staff receive training in behavioral support and crisis response, including manual restraints when necessary. The role provides direct support focused on safety, skill-building, and positive engagement. The specialist follows individual behavior and treatment plans, assists with daily living and community activities, documents services and observations electronically, monitors behavioral changes, and communicates with supervisors and team members. The position also supports appointments, personal contacts, and permitted medication-related tasks; follows medical and nutrition plans; participates in team meetings; assists with new staff training; and maintains a safe, clean, structured home environment. The position pays up to $24 per hour. Select locations may offer a retention bonus of up to $3,000; the bonus is not available to current Dungarvin employees. The role includes paid training and orientation.
