The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility designed to help adult residents, ages 18-59, who experience a psychiatric crisis to safely stabilize, recover, and transition back to community. The program offers therapeutic and mental health services, medication evaluation and support services, crisis intervention, pre-vocational or vocational counseling, transition back to community skills, rehabilitation/recovery services (including substance use rehabilitation services), daily exercise, and health/wellness education.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related mental health field
• Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid California Driver’s License with a driving record that meets company eligibility policies
• First Aid certification from an approved provider (such as the American Red Cross) or the ability to obtain it upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed)
• Develops and maintains treatment plans
• Conducts family collateral and discharge planning
• Discusses goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishing a contract with the consumer
• Interviews consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis
• Responds to potential suicide or other emergency events
• Visits clients, individually or as part of a team, in a variety of living situations, to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families, observe progress, provide counseling, gather data, and report significant changes in the client's condition to designated professional staff
