Dungarvin is hiring Mental Health Specialist 2 (MHS2) professionals for direct care roles in communities across Minnesota. These positions are for individuals with experience in mental health support and behavior management. Dungarvin is a mission-driven team, established in 1976, dedicated to providing person-centered supports to help individuals live as independently as possible. The role involves working directly with people needing assistance, or those living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs. The Acute Behavioral Services (ABS) group homes support individuals with complex mental health and behavioral needs, many of whom have experienced frequent crises, hospital stays, or legal involvement. These homes are designed for safety, and the approach is consistent, person-centered, and focused on helping individuals achieve their goals while maintaining safety. Staff receive training in behavioral support and crisis response, including the use of manual restraints when necessary. The role may involve exposure to verbal aggression or difficult behaviors, with strong training and team support provided.
