The Mental Health Services Manager (Senior) is responsible for a variety of duties that include clinical services and oversight, program planning, and interdepartmental and community relations. This position works closely with the Adult Services Administrator to provide collaborative leadership. The Mental Health Services Manager Senior oversees adult system of care teams and programs serving individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges, including acute and subacute services, crisis aftercare, complex transitions in care, and Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers. The Mental Health Services Manager Senior leads program development, manages contracts, and ensures programs comply with funding, data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting requirements. The position also oversees clinical quality assurance and develops policies and procedures to improve service access, service delivery, and coordination between County and provider networks. In addition, the Mental Health Services Manager Senior collaborates with internal programs and external partners to strengthen the continuum of care and improve outcomes for individuals receiving behavioral health services. Familiarity with Medi Cal waivers and SUBG/MHBG funding and oversight is preferred. The duties for this position will include oversight of delegated County and contracted programs to ensure high quality, evidence based services are delivered in a cost effective manner; management of specialty programs such as the Hospital Liaison Program, CARE Team, and Sub Acute Team; oversight of contracted programs including the Crisis Residential Program, Crisis Stabilization Unit, and Psychiatric Health Facility; and providing support to supervisors to promote employee development, engagement, and wellness.
