Mental Health Registered Nurse
About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join its team at Martin Correctional Institution in Indiantown, Florida. Centurion provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Florida Department of Corrections. The Registered Nurse provides holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice. The nurse works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs. The position is 40 hours per week and has a day shift.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one.
- Active, appropriate certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
