This position is with the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Beckman Center for Mental Health Services, 1547 Parkway Greenwood, SC 29646. This position will be based in Greenwood with service provision provide throughout Beckman's catchment area as a member of the center's Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team.

Requirements

• A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
• Must be a Licensed or Certified Professional, Licensed Addiction Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, or master’s level Certified Addictions Counselor
• Understand position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies.
• Understand position requires flexibility in scheduling.
• Maintain the ability to operate a state vehicle.
• Be able to lift 5 Ibs.
• Know that services will be delivered in the community and patients' homes.
• Must qualify for credentialing and privileging as a mental health professional and in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and with concurrence by OMH Office of Quality Management.
• To be credentialed for core services as a Mental Health Professional at the SC Office of Mental Health, applicants must provide evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care . This experience may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to patients using cognitive behavioral approaches and relapse prevention and uses outreach and motivational interviewing techniques in earlier stages of change readiness
• Facilitate access to 12 step groups and other community groups.
• Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments and assesses and tracks beneficiary's stages of change readiness and stages of treatment.
• Ensure patients are seen in accordance with their needs and the team's treatment approaches are consistent with beneficiary's stages of change readiness.
• Participate in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, and pursue professional development.
• Serve as a consultant and educator to ACT team members on the topic of integrated dual disorder treatment.
• Complete documentation according to QA/OMH standards, Complies with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan, and Ensures timely completion of prior authorizations.
• Facilitate the person-centered planning process for beneficiaries assigned to them.
• Complete all annual training required to include Safety, MAPS, Cultural Competency, and clinical training.
• Demonstrates adherence to CARF standards, and OMH and Center policies and Procedures.
