About The Position

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Practitioner Supervisor II to join the team at Lincoln Regional Center. In this impactful leadership role, you will provide administrative and clinical supervision to licensed behavioral health professionals while also delivering direct therapeutic services. Requirements

  • Licenses as Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska and Drug and Alcohol Counselor.
  • Licensure requirements for all levels pursuant to Nebraska State Statutes 38-2122, 38-2124, and 38-316.
  • To be hired as a Behavioral Health Practitioner Supervisor II, the successful candidate will be required to have licensure as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP).

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative supervision for licensed behavioral health professionals and oversee unit operations
  • Deliver direct professional counseling and treatment services within your licensed field of practice
  • Provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed teammates
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate program operations to ensure treatment goals and service standards are achieved
  • Develop performance standards, evaluate staff performance, and provide coaching and professional development
  • Lead and support interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Review treatment plans and ensure quality case management practices
  • Serve as a liaison with internal and external service providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic guidance in complex behavioral health situations
  • Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and operational planning
