Lutheran Social Service of MinnesotaMoorhead, MN
$56,000 - $65,000Onsite

About The Position

Lutheran Social Service MN is a dynamic social service organization serving children, youth and families, people with disabilities, older adults, and military veterans. Trustworthiness is a value and strength shared by our employees and recognized by the communities we serve. We offer an ALIVE Workplace (Supportive, Positive and Fun) and careers that challenge, energize, and reward employees. Consider joining us! As a Mental Health Clinical Trainee or Professional, you will provide individual therapy to youth in the residential treatment program at West Central Regional Juvenile Center in Moorhead MN. The target population has a broad range of mental health symptoms and associated functional impairments, related to the criminal behaviors and trauma they have experienced. You will complete a diagnostic assessment of the client(s) and a variety of psychometric screens to develop and implement an appropriate treatment plan. You will maintain compliance with mental health clinical statutes including monthly clinical supervision, staff meetings, medical consultation, and clinical care consultation with the larger service team of each client. Skills at being adaptive and autonomous are required as the schedule is 85% flexible. All client hours, documentation, and training is completed with minimal oversight once initial training, roughly 3 months, is accomplished. A team-based mindset is optimal as the trauma and mental health work is done daily in WCRJC in collaboration with our on-site skills worker, other mental health professionals, the supervisor, and corrections staff. LSS has a commitment to anti-racism and we strive to employ those who reflect and relate to the people they serve. We offer a positive vision for our employees, community-based services, and a family-friendly work environment. LSS Behavioral Health is committed to promoting social justice and advocating for health equity for all Minnesotans. We are dedicated to an affirming care system for those we serve, our co-workers, and the larger communities we support. This includes continuous efforts to remove barriers to care, reduce inequities in mental health care delivery, and provide culturally competent services.
