About The Position

Ellie Mental Health is seeking a Mental Health Outreach Coordinator who is passionate about community engagement and building relationships. This role involves being the primary point of contact for referral partners such as pediatricians, primary care practices, psychiatrists, schools, municipal alliances, coalitions, and local organizations. The goal is to establish Ellie as a trusted therapy resource within the community by offering value through clinician-led workshops, event staffing, and expert commentary for local press. This is a value-first position focused on community benefit rather than a sales pitch.

Requirements

2+ years in community outreach, business development, provider relations, or a similar relationship-driven role (healthcare or behavioral health experience is a plus).
Comfortable initiating conversations and building rapport with new contacts.
Organized and self-directed, capable of managing one's own calendar and pipeline independently.
Clear, warm communication skills, both in person, over the phone, and in writing.
Genuine interest in mental health and reducing the stigma associated with seeking help.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public health, social work, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience is also considered.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with referral partners across Union and Monmouth counties, including medical practices, psychiatrists, prescribers, schools, and community organizations.
Represent Ellie at community events, health fairs, coalition meetings, and municipal alliance meetings.
Plan and coordinate clinician-led workshops, presentations, and awareness-month activities (e.g., Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, World Mental Health Day, Mental Health Awareness Month).
Maintain an organized outreach pipeline, tracking contacts, touchpoints, and referral activity, and reporting on effectiveness.
Collaborate with the clinic director and marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across outreach, advertisements, and website content.
Coordinate local press and publicity opportunities.
Keep referral partners informed about Ellie's availability, services, and insurance participation to facilitate easy referrals.
