About The Position
Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, Mental Health, Clare is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse Consultant to join their dedicated team. This role involves delivering high-quality, safe, and recovery-focused mental health care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. The successful candidate will utilize advanced clinical expertise to support consumers experiencing mental health challenges with a high level of autonomy and professional leadership. Key contributions include providing expert clinical and consultancy support, leading and contributing to service improvement initiatives, supporting evidence-based, consumer-centered care, mentoring multidisciplinary team members, and promoting quality, safety, and innovation across services. This position offers the opportunity to significantly influence the wellbeing and recovery journeys of consumers and their families.
Requirements
- Current practicing certificate and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Nurse
- Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years post registration experience with demonstration in the mental health nursing practice in accordance with relevant standards
- Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative multidisciplinary team approach
- Change management and service improvement capability
- Staff development and consumer engagement focus
- Strong organisational, computer and prioritisation skills
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check
- Appropriate immunisation requirements
- DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups
