About The Position
This role involves providing expert clinical mental health nursing care and consultancy services to support recovery-focused outcomes across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. The position requires a high level of autonomy, leadership in service improvement initiatives, and the promotion of best practices through education, quality improvement, and evidence-based care. The Mental Health Nurse Consultant will also mentor and support multidisciplinary staff, contributing to safe, innovative, and consumer-centered mental health services.
Requirements
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a current practising certificate.
- Hold a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated expertise in mental health nursing practice and leadership within multidisciplinary settings.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to recovery-focused care.
