Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse-$10K sign on bonus-32 hours per week
About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team at Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Correctional Center in Fulton, Missouri. The Mental Health LPN will provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. They will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and respond to the physical, psychological, and social needs of the patient. Mental Health Nurses may also participate in and lead group classes for incarcerated patients as needed.
Requirements
- Missouri LPN with IV Certification or ability to obtain.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty training in psychiatric nursing.
- Corrections experience not required.
Responsibilities
- Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Identifying, assessing, and responding to a wide range of physical, psychological, and social needs of the patient.
- Participating in and leading group classes for incarcerated patients as needed.
