About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team at Farmington Correctional Center in Farmington, Missouri. This role involves providing holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Mental Health Nurses work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and respond to the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients. They may also lead group classes for patients.
Requirements
- Missouri LPN license or ability to obtain license
- IV Certification Required
- Specialty training in psychiatric nursing
- Current CPR
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience not required
Responsibilities
- Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Identifying, assessing and responding to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.
- Participating in and leading group classes for incarcerated patients as needed.
