About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron, Missouri. This role involves providing holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients. The LPN will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and respond to patients' physical, psychological, and social needs. The role may also include participating in and leading group classes for patients.
Requirements
- Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Must be IV Certified
- Must be actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in mental health preferred
- Corrections experience not required
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in and lead group classes for incarcerated patients as needed.
