About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia, Missouri. The Mental Health LPN will provide holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients. They will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and respond to patients' physical, psychological, and social needs. Mental Health Nurses may also lead group classes for incarcerated patients.
Requirements
- Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Must be IV Certified
- Must be actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in mental health preferred
- Corrections experience not required
Responsibilities
- Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
- Identifying, assessing, and responding to a wide range of physical, psychological, and social needs of the patient.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Participating in and leading group classes for incarcerated patients as needed.
