About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join their Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program. This role is based in one of their Group Living Environments (GLEs), which are safe and supportive homes for adults to build confidence, skills, and independence. The program is an innovative model of care focused on empowering adults in their recovery journey. The Mental Health Counselor will partner with residents to help them reach personal goals, develop life skills, strengthen emotional and physical wellness, and encourage self-advocacy and community involvement. The position involves collaborating with a committed team in an environment that values mutual learning, respect, and growth, aiming to create a safe and inspiring space for residents.

Requirements

• Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) required
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours required.
• Must have valid driver's license and available, dependable transportation and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle, as needed
• High School diploma and one year related experience required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience working with recovery model, dual diagnosis, and/or addictions a plus
