About The Position

Requirements

  • Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in the State of Nebraska as a Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP, LMHP, or LIMHP preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills including empathy, warmth, and the ability to build rapport quickly with clients.
  • Ability to form effective therapeutic relationships and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Skilled in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, or similar modalities.
  • Ability to assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and adjust interventions based on progress.
  • Comfort working with a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and co-occurring conditions.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently while seeking supervision when appropriate.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality standards, and professional ethics.
  • Strong documentation and clinical record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external providers to support coordinated care.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and feedback.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evening hours based on client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients within the outpatient program.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, including diagnostic impressions and clinical recommendations.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards.
  • Coordinate care with other providers, both internally and externally, to support client progress.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed.
  • Educate clients on mental health topics, coping skills, and strategies for long-term wellness.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary.
  • Support discharge planning and aftercare coordination to ensure continuity of care.
