About The Position

We are a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic serving children and their families through Speech, OT, PT, ABA, and Mental Health services. We provide a collaborative and compassionate environment with a focus on family-centered care and professional growth. We are seeking a licensed and empathetic Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of children and adolescents. This counselor will work closely with children experiencing a variety of emotional, developmental, and behavioral concerns, providing individualized care through counseling and collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required
  • Active Indiana state license as LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent (required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinic
  • Trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and neurodiversity-affirming approach
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and basic office software
  • Passion for helping children and families thrive

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in outpatient or school-based settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and/or family counseling services for pediatric patients, ages 3–18
  • Conduct intake assessments, diagnose mental health disorders when appropriate, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Use evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as play therapy, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or other appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with caregivers, therapists (OT, PT, Speech, ABA), and external providers (e.g., school personnel, pediatricians) to support holistic care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the EMR system
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and internal referrals
  • Provide parental education and support as part of the therapeutic process
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and legal/ethical guidelines for clinical practice
  • Offer crisis intervention or referrals when necessary
  • Stay informed on current research and trends in pediatric mental health
