Volunteers of America North Louisiana is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing personalized housing, health, and human services to children and families, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and senior adults. With a mission to provide opportunity, promote dignity, and inspire change, the agency operates 40 programs aimed at addressing pressing community issues. Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, required.
- Provisionally licensed in the State of Louisiana.
- Pass a background check.
- Pass a drug screen.
- Take a TB test.

Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with recipients and their families.
- Provide individual and family supportive counseling.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis de-escalation support.
- Provide educational and skills-building interventions to improve client/family functioning.
- Provide interventions in the office, client's home, and/or community.
- Conduct and gather information for a psycho-social assessment.
- Accurately and efficiently document client interactions.
- Maintain effective collaborative relationships with other service agencies/programs in the community.
- Provide referral and linkage to community supports as needed and appropriate.
- Independently work and schedule counseling sessions and interventions.
- Meet or exceed established key performance indicator goals.
- Collaborate and consult with clinical supervisor frequently for professional growth and development.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings required by your program.
