About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking an energetic, passionate, confident, and skilled person to join their team as a Mental Health Counselor / Food Services Coordinator. This role is responsible for engaging Clubhouse participants in the work of the Clubhouse. The Food Services / Culinary Unit Coordinator will work side-by-side with participants, coordinating activities such as cooking breakfast, lunch, or dinner, menu planning, tracking the food budget, maintaining health code requirements, and planning social events/parties and health and wellness activities. Clubhouses provide a vibrant, fun, and engaging environment for individuals with mental health challenges, supporting their recovery journey. This role requires flexibility for one-on-one and group work, and an ideal candidate is passionate about food and sharing it with others. The position offers an opportunity to engage program participants in social and event planning, health and wellness activities, and other food service-related tasks.

Requirements

• Driver's license and reliable car to be used to transport members during the day.

Nice To Haves

• BA/BS and/or relevant experience preferred.
• Clubhouse experience, community based programs, or Recovery Learning Community experience is a plus.
• Individuals with a lived experience of mental health challenges are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Engage Clubhouse participants in the work of the Clubhouse.
• Coordinate various activities and projects, including cooking meals.
• Plan menus and track the food budget.
• Maintain all town/state health code requirements.
• Plan and coordinate social events/parties and health and wellness activities.
• Work one-on-one and in groups with program participants.
• Assist in other unit tasks related to food services.
