The Mental Health Clinician demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes trauma-informed practices, including emotional intelligence, effective communication, understanding of impact of trauma on development, strengths-based and person-centered practice, resilience focus and commitment to growth and change. The Clinician will hold an active caseload referred to them by programs across the agency. A background in evidence-based practice and working with teams to incorporate evidence-based practices into case and program practice is highly desirable. The person in this role will be organized, have high attention to detail, maintain confidentiality and act with the utmost discretion as well as act as an ambassador & champion of AAFSC. A commitment to immigrant, refugee and low-income communities is essential for this role.
