About The Position

Care Predictor is seeking Mental Health Clinicians / Psychiatric Social Workers on behalf of Alter Behavioral Health. Alter Behavioral Health, in partnership with Los Angeles County, is launching a Specialized Emergency Response Grant (SERG) initiative to support individuals and families impacted by the recent Los Angeles fires. We are seeking a Mental Health Clinical Supervisor (Team Leader) to support a community-based behavioral health initiative in partnership with LA County. This role will lead a team of clinicians providing trauma-informed mental health services to individuals and families impacted by recent wildfire disasters. This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical leadership, field-based support, and program development to serve vulnerable populations during recovery and rebuilding. This is a mission-driven, grant-funded opportunity focused on helping individuals manage trauma, stress, and disruption caused by disaster.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Active California license required (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC)
  • 3–5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation and compliance standards
  • Ability to work onsite 3–4 days per week in designated LA County locations
  • 3 years of clinical supervision in behavioral or mental health experience
  • 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Active California license (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC)
  • Ability to Commute: Los Angeles County, CA

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in community mental health, crisis intervention, or disaster response strongly preferred
  • 1 year of community health experience
  • 1 year of Disaster relief counseling experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to a team of mental health clinicians (ACSWs, LCSWs, AMFTs, APCCs, LMFTs)
  • Ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care and adherence to best practices
  • Conduct case reviews, documentation audits, and provide clinical guidance
  • Support crisis intervention and complex case management
  • Monitor team productivity, caseloads, and service delivery outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with County, Medi-Cal, and grant requirements
  • Collaborate with leadership on program development and workflow improvements
  • Provide direct client care as needed (reduced caseload)
