About The Position

This role is for a Mental Health Clinician, specifically a Social Worker (AHP2) or Clinical Nurse (RN2/M2C), within the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network's Community Mental Health Service, located in Kadina, Yorke Peninsula. The position involves providing high-quality mental health care across various settings. As a Social Worker, the role requires applying clinical knowledge to plan, deliver, and evaluate services for consumers accessing the Local Health Network Mental Health Service and the local community. The clinician will work with reduced clinical direction, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and other service providers, and may contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced staff and students.

Requirements

  • For Clinical Nurse (RN2/MC): Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practising certificate.
  • For Clinical Nurse (RN2/MC): Enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • For Clinical Nurse (RN2/MC): A minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration mental health experience and demonstrated leadership in guiding less experienced staff.
  • For Mental Health Social Worker (AHP2): Hold a recognised qualification in Social Work and eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • For Mental Health Social Worker (AHP2): Ability to demonstrate AHP2 level competencies for appointment at this level.
  • For Mental Health Social Worker (AHP2): Commitment to ongoing professional development in line with AASW guidelines.
  • For Mental Health Social Worker (AHP2): Experience in delivering integrated mental health services and contributing to clinical supervision of other professionals.
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
  • Appropriate immunisation requirements.
  • DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate a comprehensive range of services that meet the needs of consumers accessing the Local Health Network Mental Health Service and the local community.
  • Collaborate with health professionals and service providers across sectors to deliver preventative, early intervention, therapeutic and evaluation services.
  • Contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students.
