The Department of Corrections, Division of Health & Rehabilitation Services, is recruiting for a Long Term Non-Permanent Mental Health Clinician 3 position at the Anchorage Central Office (ACO) located in Anchorage, Alaska. This position seeks a motivated and experienced master’s level mental health clinician to provide treatment to justice-involved individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The role involves working directly with the incarcerated population both in-person within correctional institutions and via telehealth from the Anchorage Central Office. Responsibilities include performing substance use disorder and mental health screenings, assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning. The clinician will assess an individual’s diagnosis and risk, respond effectively to emergent situations, and make clinical recommendations on appropriate treatment. The position also assists with the coordination of and referral to additional mental health and substance use disorder treatment services at the institution and community resources.
