This position is open to Alaska Residents only. The Division of Juvenile Justice is recruiting to fill a Mental Health Clinician 2 position located in Anchorage at the McLaughlin Youth Center. This role provides a broad range of mental health counseling services to detained youth in a secure residential setting, long term treatment, and probation. The clinician is responsible for skilled and intensive psychotherapeutic casework for justice involved youth and families, ongoing clinical support, guidance, training, and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff at the McLaughlin Youth Center and in the south-central region to facilitate effective clinical interventions and treatment approaches for youth experiencing behavioral/mental health issues. The organization's mission is to hold juvenile offenders accountable for their behavior through Restorative Justice, promote the safety and restoration of victims and communities, and assist offenders and their families in developing the skills to prevent crime.
