This specific role, Mental Health Clinician 1, is a 10-month schedule position based in a Metro Nashville School clinic. The role involves performing diagnostic assessments and therapeutic treatments, including crisis intervention, with some guidance. It also requires maintaining contact with family and community agencies and making referrals. Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • Relevant Work Experience: Less than 1 year
  • Patient Assessment (Novice proficiency)
  • Clinical Counseling (Novice proficiency)
  • Patient Diagnosis (Novice proficiency)
  • Peer Leadership (Fundamental Awareness)

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic assessment and therapeutic treatments, including crisis intervention with some guidance.
  • Maintains contact with family and community agencies and makes referrals.
  • Provides initial assessment and develops plan of care according to TN Department of Mental Health Best Practice Guidelines.
  • Provides targeted evidence based interventions into clinical practice with patients.
  • Acts as clinical liaison with patient, family, treatment team and community.
  • Contributes to the organization by actively participating in process improvement initiatives and shared decision making.
