This specific role, Mental Health Clinician 1, is a 10-month schedule position based in a Metro Nashville School clinic. The role involves performing diagnostic assessments and therapeutic treatments, including crisis intervention, with some guidance. Requirements
- Master's degree
- Relevant Work Experience: Less than 1 year
- Patient Assessment (Novice proficiency)
- Clinical Counseling (Novice proficiency)
- Patient Diagnosis (Novice proficiency)
- Peer Leadership (Fundamental Awareness)
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic assessment and therapeutic treatments, including crisis intervention with some guidance.
- Maintains contact with family and community agencies and makes referrals.
- Provides initial assessment and develops plan of care according to TN Department of Mental Health Best Practice Guidelines.
- Provides targeted evidence based interventions into clinical practice with patients.
- Acts as clinical liaison with patient, family, treatment team and community.
- Contributes to the organization by actively participating in process improvement initiatives and shared decision making.
