About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Mental Health Clinic Therapist to join their Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUCC) team in Philadelphia, Pa. This is a Full-time, First Shift (Monday - Friday 10:30am - 7:00pm EST) position with an hourly rate of $42.25. The BHUCC serves as a Behavioral Health Urgent Care/Walk-In Center for adults needing non-crisis same-day care. It functions like urgent care for individuals experiencing emotional or behavioral health concerns, offering resolution-focused services and aftercare planning to support long-term recovery and connection to ongoing care. The services are provided regardless of income or insurance status and aim to reduce avoidable visits to crisis centers and emergency rooms by connecting individuals with needed mental health care promptly. The clinically licensed Master’s level mental health and/or substance use professional will provide high-quality urgent behavioral health services, including conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, providing brief resolution-focused therapy, and participating in care coordination for individuals facing urgent behavioral health challenges.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges, particularly in crisis, urgent, or other similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based and resolution focused interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals and colleagues.
• Empathy, compassion, and a person-centered approach in delivering behavioral health urgent care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
