About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Mental Health Clinic Therapist to join their Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUCC) team in Philadelphia, Pa. This is a full-time, first shift position (Monday - Friday 10:30 am - 7:00 pm EST) with an hourly rate of $41.22. The BHUCC serves as a walk-in center for adults needing non-crisis, same-day care for emotional or behavioral health concerns. The goal is to provide resolution-focused services and aftercare planning to support long-term recovery and connection to ongoing care, thereby reducing avoidable visits to crisis centers and emergency rooms. The position involves providing urgent behavioral health services, conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, offering brief resolution-focused therapy, and participating in care coordination.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges, particularly in crisis, urgent, or other similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based and resolution focused interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals and colleagues.
• Empathy, compassion, and a person-centered approach in delivering behavioral health urgent care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
