About The Position

The Associate-Mental Health (MHA) provides patient care under the direct supervision of the RN, with indirect supervision of mental health skills by an employed Mental Health Professional. Provides hospital level and focused patient care, support, and milieu management for patients with behavioral health conditions and illness. Under the direction of an RN, observes and reports on patient conditions, changes, and collaborates with treatment team in developing treatment plans. Is sensitive to needs of these patients and alerts care team leaders of a change in status of the patients on the inpatient psychiatric unit. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: Studies include, but are not limited to, Psychology, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field. Also included are major studies in medical fields, including but not limited to Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc., or equivalent experience of 3 years in a mix of Residential Inpatient, Psychiatric Outpatient, or Acute Care settings (behavioral health experience not required).
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 3 years of mixed experience as described above or a Bachelor's Degree.
