About The Position

Sul Ross State University, an NCAA Division II institution located in Alpine, Texas, and a member of the Lonestar Conference, is currently seeking qualified applicants for a graduate assistant position in the department of athletics for men’s soccer. The successful applicant will work closely with the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and will be working closely with the student-athletes at SRSU.

Requirements

• Must be qualified for admission to the SRSU Graduate School
• Must be accepted into a graduate program at SRSU
• Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in graduate studies
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be able to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Assist in practice and game planning and preparation
• Assist in recruiting prospective student-athletes
• Support of student-athlete success on the court and in the classroom
• Hospitality and travel management
• Help setup and teardown of game operations
• Other duties as assigned
