About The Position

The primary objective of this position is to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the Men's Locker Room. This role involves general housekeeping duties, attending staff meetings, assisting staff wherever necessary, handling complaints, coordinating daily maintenance duties, and maintaining a safe environment. The Housekeeper will also operate floor maintenance equipment, maintain restrooms and floors, handle trash and recyclables, and demonstrate a team approach to workload.

Requirements

  • Able to stand, kneel, twist and bend for up to 8 hours.
  • Able to lift 15 lbs. overhead.
  • Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to follow all chemical label instructions as written on container and usage of product and the disposal of its container.
  • Have a valid driver license with a clear driving record to drive a company vehicle.

  • 1 year of experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

  • General housekeeping such as dusting, vacuuming, cleaning baseboards, cleaning chair rails, mopping, removing spider webs, restocking towels and toiletries.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Assist staff wherever necessary to improve service to the membership.
  • Receive suggestions, comments, handle complaints or refer them directly to the Housekeeping Manager or Facilities Manager.
  • Coordinate and follow up on assigned daily maintenance duties, which may be mechanical in nature.
  • Perform any and all reasonable duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Manager on Duty.
  • Maintain a safe environment by cleaning or repairing spills and other dangerous conditions immediately.
  • Maintain visibility and communications with the Manager on Duty.
  • Turn in a daily work log to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Operate floor maintenance equipment including vacuums, carpet scrubbers/cleaners, and floor buffers.
  • Maintain restrooms, maintain floors, handle, transport, and dispose of trash in appropriate containers.
  • Proper handling of recyclables and general cleanliness of the club.
  • Demonstrate a TEAM approach to workload and help others as needed.
