About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Men's Clothing Sales Associate who will be responsible for delivering a personalized WOW customer experience and contributing to a team-first, winning mentality. This role involves learning and adapting to change, taking pride in work, and acting with honesty and integrity. The associate will greet customers, engage in the sales process, recommend products, and promote the Scheels Visa Credit Card to grow personal sales. They will also maintain visual merchandising standards, assist with stocking, demonstrate product usage, and attend training and store meetings. The position requires the ability to use a personal computer and a handheld inventory scanner, along with programs like Microsoft Office, Google Email/Docs, and AS400. The associate will also assist in training new hires and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1-3 months of sales experience
Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400

Responsibilities

Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shop
Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience
Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing
Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking
Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
Attend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings
Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise
Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400
Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team
