About The Position

This position involves recruiting academically and athletically capable student-athletes to shape the culture of NCC Tennis. The role requires travel to various tennis events to connect with prospective student-athletes. Responsibilities include assisting with coaching during group and individual practices, team matches, and events. Additionally, the position entails performing racquet stringing and minor court and facility maintenance.

Requirements

• Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
• Experience playing or coaching tennis, or athletic administrative experience.
• Current CPR / AED and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in college athletics strongly preferred.
• Aspirations to a career in college coaching preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit academically and athletically capable student-athletes that mold the culture of NCC Tennis.
• Travel and contact prospective student-athletes at high school, USTA, and other tennis events.
• Assist in coaching at group practices, individual practices, and team matches and events.
• Perform racquet stringing and other minor court and facility maintenance.
