About The Position

The MEMS Sensor Sub-Group is responsible for the development activities of new products and technologies to support Automotive, Industrial and Medical markets. Products include accelerometers, gyroscopes and pressure sensors that are packaged with microcontrollers and application specific integrated circuits to provide a system solution to customers. The MEMS Sensors Product Engineer Intern position is a central role in the development of new products within the MEMS Sensors Sub-Group.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills - both oral and written – are required.
• Use of tools for technical analysis and productivity tools, such as JMP, MS Excel, MS Project are required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Product experience with Sensor/MEMS knowledge will be a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Executing characterization plans and report findings.
• Create and execute qualification plans including test definitions, pre and post stress data analysis and final reporting of results.
• Bench validation of key product requirements. This may include hardware and software design, correlation with ATE data, etc.
• Interfacing with manufacturing site to ramp the product into high volume manufacturing.
• Interface with assembly for product BOMs and building samples.
• Interface with other engineers to problem solve any product errata, customer returns or test procedure debug.
• Interface with Design, Process, Test, Quality, Manufacturing and Customers throughout the New Product Introduction cycle of a program.
• Cross functional aspects: The intern will interface with design, process, test, quality, manufacturing and customers throughout the New Product Introduction cycle of a program.
