About The Position

Intel is seeking a Memory Firmware Engineer to develop firmware supporting memory initialization, training, calibration, validation, and configuration for next-generation computing platforms and advanced memory technologies. The role works with architecture, design, validation, and silicon engineering teams to help ensure Intel platform memory subsystems operate reliably and efficiently. It offers an early-career engineer the opportunity to build expertise spanning hardware and software. The engineer will develop firmware and hardware-software interfaces, support integration in simulation and validation environments, and debug issues in pre-silicon and post-silicon settings. The role also involves collaboration across engineering teams, participation in code reviews and testing, compliance with JEDEC standards and memory requirements, and analysis of system behavior to improve performance, stability, and functionality. The position is based in Hillsboro, Oregon, and is eligible for Intel’s hybrid work model, combining on-site work at the assigned Intel site with off-site work. The listed annual target compensation range is $128,880–$156,740 USD across U.S. locations; individual pay depends on location and other factors. Intel describes its compensation package as including competitive pay, stock bonuses, and health, retirement, and vacation benefits.
