About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology expert to join a growing team developing Sandisk's next generation of advanced memory products. This role will lead and drive innovation in device and array engineering, from early-stage development through productization. The ideal candidate will combine strong device fundamentals with hands-on experience in array characterization.

Requirements

  • PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with strong hands-on experience in device testing and characterization.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, reliability, and failure mechanisms.
  • Experience in the electrical characterization of non-volatile memory technologies such as SOM, PCRAM, MRAM, or ReRAM.
  • Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable reports for cross-functional audiences.
  • Self-driven, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced development environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Track record of adopting AI tools to streamline technical work.
  • Strong scripting and test development skills, with proficiency in Python and data analysis platforms such as JMP or similar.
  • Hands-on knowledge of lab test equipment, automated probers, and ATE memory testers.
  • Methodical and organized approach, with experience creating well-structured technical reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze electrical data from devices and arrays to understand behavior, performance tradeoffs, and failure mechanisms.
  • Translate findings into actionable feedback for process, materials, and design teams.
  • Develop and enhance characterization methodologies and wafer-level test techniques for emerging memory technologies.
  • Partner with design, process, and product teams to develop characterization strategies and drive device performance, reliability, and yield improvements.
  • Collaborate with test development teams to bring up and validate test programs and new characterization vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and generate insights that accelerate device optimization and technology development.
  • Communicate effectively across teams to align priorities and ensure timely execution.
